Honest answer first: personal WeChat contact codes and group-join codes can only be made inside the WeChat app — Tencent generates them. What you can create here, free, is a standard QR code linking to a WeChat official-account page, your weixin.qq.com content, or any page you use to share your WeChat ID.
WeChat contact codes encode Tencent's internal identifiers, not a public URL — only the app can mint them. Any site claiming to "generate a WeChat friend code" from a username is guessing at best. The workable alternatives: screenshot your in-app code and clean it up, or create a landing page that displays your WeChat ID and QR screenshot, then link that page with a code made here — which also lets you use an editable code so the printed version never goes stale (group codes expire every 7 days; your landing page doesn't).
No — nobody outside the WeChat app can. We would rather tell you straight than generate something broken. Use the in-app code, or link a page that shows it.
Group QR codes expire after 7 days or 200 members by design. A printed editable code pointing at a page with the current group code solves the reprint problem.
Codes linking official account pages, WeChat articles, or your own “add me on WeChat” landing page — any URL works.
